I got back yesterday from camping, so I didn't die. It wasn't a bad trip - I am not an outdoorsy person at all, so I'm amazed I didn't die. I spent alot of time in the water, even though it freaking never rains during the summer so the river was shallow and in some places half dried-up. Most of the family ended up being there, so I guess we had alot of family together funtime. And burnt marshmellows. Mmmm. :3

So yeah, I'm back. Soooo glad to be back in civilization with cell phone reception and computers and my wonderful wonderful credit card. I forgot what it's like to have to ask your parents to buy you things. I am never going anywhere without this stupid card again. >.>

I guess I should have mentioned this in my last journal, haha. I forgot. Anyhow, I will be gone tomorrow through Friday... I'll be camping in Uvalde. There is no cell phone reception whatsoever in the park unless I hike to the top of a hill/mountain/whatever, so if I do go hiking rest assured I am going to spam everyone who has my number with "SAVE ME PLZ" text messages once I get to the top. Yep.

And yeah, I had a good birthday.

My birthday is on Saturday. I'll be 21 and I don't drink (mostly to appease my parents). Everyone has been asking me what I'm going to do for my birthday. One of the deputies wants to find me a boyfriend for my birthday ("C'mon, I'll make sure to get you one that can dance!" "Um, no thanks-" "Don't worry, I've got ya covered!" "... Ay Dios. x.x"). My bosses are asking me what I'm going to do on that day. My parents are asking me what I want to do on that day.

And to be honest, I don't know. My idea of a birthday is going lazer tagging or hanging out at Gatti Town playing video games all day or staying home and having a pool party or something. And I don't really feel like doing any of those things at the moment (I know, what's wrong with me?) so... I keep telling everyone I'm going to sleep all day. And maybe I will - it is on a Saturday.

Maybe this is a consequence of getting older. It's like, I dread that the day is coming at all. It's just another day... like any other day of the year... except it marks a full year from the last July 12th. I am a full year older. I am a full year wiser (or stupider, depending on the decisions I've made through the year, haha). I'm one year closer to...

... to what? To being 22? To being 30? To the apocalypse in 2012? Am I afraid of something that's coming? Maybe that's it. But what am I afraid of? Death? It's not like I know when I'm going to die, so how can I be afraid of it? Maybe it's something else. I'm so afraid of it coming, and I don't even know what it is.

...No wait, I know what it is.

So I clicked on iTunes yesterday to sync my iPod, when I spied the ad for DC stuff having just been added. I was like ooh nifty, maybe iTunes is branching out and doing comics nao. (Yes, comics. I have a one track mind, I know.) And so I clicked it.

And I spied the episodes of that Batman/Superman Adventures cartoon we all watched when we were kids.

And I fangirl-squealed. Yesssssss!!!!

In other news, I read Twilight yesterday. That one by Stephanie Meyer that is supposed to be coming out as a movie this December? Yeah. ... Maybe I'm spoiled, but... WHERE WAS THE HOTT VAMPIRE ACTION?! D: I loved the vampire girl named Alice - she was so adorable and cute I want to squish her. But the main character? Complete and total ditz. I really don't think it's POSSIBLE to be that much of a klutz. She was even worse than ME, and ya'll know how I am. The vampies were pretty nifty, I admit. But still... I dunno. Starla's going to let me read the other ones, and I'll decide how I feel about the series after I read them.

Boss sent me home today after I finished logging things in. He said he'd told his wife to tell me to work yesterday and have today off, but that she'd forgotten. So he gave me today off, too. :3 Not like I really plan to do anything... I'll probably be cleaning all day ( ;.; ), but oh well. :3

My siblings are watching the country music video countdown in the other room. I haven't actually listened to a country music station in a while... I used to know all the artists that came on. Oh well.

I haven't really played WoW for awhile. I die alot and it frustrates me, even though I know the reason I die is because I'm not geared for my lvl. And I don't really feel like joining a random group to do instances because everyone sees me and thinks, ooh, healer! And I'm like, no bitch I'm dps and they're like oh. And random people are so damn annoying. Especially the ones that beg for help on something when I'm running someone through quests and things. And then they keep begging until I block them. Argh.

Okay I'm done ranting. I need to go to Walmart (it never closes! D: ) to buy coffee. Never, never buy coffee from BigLots. x.x
